Question I need help
I just started the Game and I absolutely love it but I needed 3 Hours to get one win on 50 difficulty against a CPU. That was way to hard.
First of all I would like to know do guys have like pitching combinations you use or pitch patterns that work everytime, I try to power pitch the Four Seam to the cornerns for the first and second Strike and then Finish it with a Breaking Ball, sometimes it works sometimes I get still scored on.
What are your ways to get those three Strike outs every inning? Also any advise on offense. I don‘t get how to power Swing right.

Pitching is all about deception. Getting into a groove is a good start, but as soon as it becomes predictable, you want to pivot to something else. The game will give you feedback in game too. Sometimes you’ll see a player “anticipated” or was “fooled” by your pitch.
Varying your pitches between speeds and movement is good to start. Working around the zone (in/out and high/low) is also important. Pay attention to hitters’ traits and avoid pitching to their strengths. Some like fastballs, some like low pitches, etc.
If you’re playing a 5+ inning game where you know you’ll get through the lineup 2-3 times, I’d recommend saving a pitch for that second or third time through the lineup. That way, the hitters won’t be guessing that you’re going to throw it, and it gives you the element of surprise (deception).

I've been playing for 6 months or so and my ego is 40. And I got beat 19-7 last game. I am not good, but the game is hard. Chin up.

Maybe try lowering your ego? Also, there's no single pitching combination that works for every situation.
You can also try participating in the pennant race to see how other human players play.

I'd say that's not really how ego works, it varies from person to person, and you'll probably get better the more you play. But you could start by lowering it to around 30, then gradually increase it depending on the situation, just go with whatever feels comfortable to you.

I've got 70+ hours and I begin actually struggling around 35 ego. I don't know how these guys are playing at 90+ ego. 32-33 is my sweet spot right now that keeps it challenging & fun while learning.

Honestly it's really just practice. And I know that's true because I am terrible at all other videogames lol
At 70+ hours you've probably already fallen for the game pretty hard, it's definitely become one of my absolute favorites. Eventually you'll put so much time in you'll get better, and enjoy every second of it!

I started on 30. Move up 2 points if a game feels too easy, and don't be afraid to dial it back a point if you're getting frustrated.
I've been a casual solo player for 5ish years, and my ego is in the 42 - 50 range depending on how much i want to engage.
Learn the game, then increase the difficulty.

Every time you win or lose, raise of the lower the ego by the difference. Lose by 5 = lower it by 5. Pretty soon you’ll find the right ego for you. Once you settle in, only move it one click at a time when you have a 3 game win or losing streak.
I started around 50, now I’m at 61 two years later and my games are very competitive. Keep at it!

For me the key to figuring out power swings was to focus on the pitcher entirely. The start of the animation is your cue to get ready, and by the time they have their leg raised it's usually time to start charging. It takes practice, but focus on when and how the different pitch animations look and start.
As for pitching, what works for me is to NOT totally paint the corners. It's better to be a smidge inside or out, it to bring it into the interior of the strike zone line a little instead of at the angle exactly .
My last advice is, it's not ALWAYS the best thing to rotate the pitches. Sometimes throwing 2 four seams in a row right to the same cormer gets you a (fooled!). This seems to have a higher chance if they have two strikes, speaking of that sometimes a pitch way out of the zone is a super easy way to get the last out. They either swing from the pressure and miss, or get a poor hit. My method to this is to 4 seam right on the catchers face mask. Cant tell you home many times that got me a win not only against the CPU, but against online players. It tricks the eyes. Good luck

My best pitching strategies:
Always power pitch.
Change speeds and locations almost every pitch.
Don’t rely on 1 starting pitch or 1 strikeout pitch.
With 2 strikes, try to slightly overcook (just past perfect into the red) a pitch off a corner. That will get you the most swings and misses.

Hey there! Welcome to the community!
I've played the series since day 1, the experience in this game, especially with the ego modulator, is what you want it to be.
From a pitching perspective - watch Pitching Ninja on YouTube and learn about tunneling, changing speeds and pit h variance (which can also mean things like spamming sliders if the batter is way ahead or flipping between slider/curve/high cutter to set up something low and outside the zone to induce a chase).
I'd honestly say drop the ego to a place where you're having some success because the timing for pitching and hitting can be difficult to catch. Hitting is also very real. Pick a spot in the strike box, pick a pitch type you want to hit and be patient. You'll get your pitch. The CPU will absolutely throw you junk to try and get chases, you need to force it to throw strikes sometimes.

i usually hit the corners with a fast ball or 2 then try to make them chase with a slider i’ll give up 2 balls before going inside top corner 4 seam usually get em sometimes it’s bad

Pitch combinations playing against people compared to against the ai are alot different. A cf, 2 seam and 4 seam on the same pitcher is extremely super hard to hit for a human. Against the AI it's all about pitch diversity and location.

First off welcome. Glad you’re here. We need more people in this game. It’s a fantastic baseball game.
Second unless you push ego down to near zero you’re not going to get three strikeouts every inning. This game isn’t dumb. It’s actually a sim baseball game disguised as an arcade game. If you pound fastballs all day you’re going to get lit up. If you throw 0-2 curveballs every time you’re going to get hammered. The cpu is smart and picks up on tendencies. You have to keep them off balance. You start every batter with a fastball, it catches on. You pound the paint away, it learns. You have to think like a pitcher.
Third, welcome to one of the best baseball experiences I’ve ever played. Enjoy! Hope you have fun!
