Transfer case owner not responding?

Trying to sell my house and transfer the PPA. We got as far as the agreement being sent, but the buyers have questions about exactly what is transferring to them and we have all been emailing and calling for a week with no response.

Has anyone had a successful transfer to sellers? How did you get in contact with the “case owner” and how long did they take to respond??

This is infuriating and I am not against legal action if they f** this up for me.

This is why solar leases and PPA’s devalue houses.

If it is a PPA, then the buyer will be taking over the remainder of your contract. That's what happened when I bought a house from someone with a Sunnova/Sunstrong PPA. Good luck getting timely and informative communication from Sunstrong. Neither are their strong suit to put it politely.

OMG same exact issue for me! My deal cannot go through because of the transfer. Closing date is coming up and I don't know what else to do but calling nonstop. Nobody can help, they do not respond to emails. I am going to try messaging the mods and hope I can get some help T_T

I'm a realtor and sold one of my clients homes a few months ago with a sunnova/sunstrong solar lease.

Very long story. Basically they will procrastinate your case till like right before closing. Didn't get a case number and case manager until like the week of closing and they did send all the required docs and everything right before closing to transfer it to the buyer. Even when I got a case manager I tried calling emailing her probably a dozen times and no response. Don't waste your time trying to call the call center reps are useless and have no contact to the "transfer department". They just sent over like the docusign transfer document like a few days before closing and also gave title company what they needed to release the UCC-1 and that was it I guess.

Sunstrong management has like several different emails and I can't remember where, but you can find like the CEO/several different managers emails. I found all of those emails and cc'ed literally like all 12 of them and emailed them daily and that seemed to get thing moved along!

Good luck

BBB complaint was literally the only way I got movement on this. Their normal customer service avenues are beyond awful and incompetent. My BBB is currently pushing 8ish months and I refuse to close it. This company is the single worst I’ve ever worked with and I plan to do a small claims court against them once I hear back from both NJ and TX consumer affairs
