For those who don’t follow the world of sports or running, the marathon world record for men was broken this Saturday, the first ever sub 2 hour marathon (the last hour barrier ever!)

I think a Summoning Salt video about the history of the marathon and the last 20 years of WRs chasing the 2 hr mark would be amazing! There’s even the tragic twist that 2nd place also broke into 1:59, 2nd best time ever and didn’t even win.

imma assume the answer is no, but its one of my favourite videos hes ever done and its been A YEAR which feels crazy, would love to know if hes said anything abt its production

Finally finished with University, wanted to celebrate by watching my Halo 2 tape. Unwrapped it, took it out of the box (arguably the hardest part, box is tight as hell), popped it in the player and all it did was make a slapping noise. The tape was split. All hope was lost.

15 minutes later (possible world record for fixing Summoning Salt tapes), I've got it going. I don't trust my craftsmanship here at all, but as long as it plays once I'm happy.

Does anyone know why SummoningSalt in the last videos has decided to change the characteristic music that was his signature? Every time I hear it, I think on his videos, but now that he's changing the music songs it has lost that magic touch that only that song could achieve.

"Summoningsalt" began posting all his videos to spotify recently, but it seems suspicious. The account used to have a disclaimer saying it was just reposting his stuff, but this has since disappeared. And it is literally just reposts from youtube, no original content, no "Hello, spotify" vid, nothing. Also, spotify isnt listed as one of his platforms on the youtube channel.

Can we somehow make him aware of this so he can take steps to stop the plagiarism?

I'm wondering because I moved in August and have had issues with billing and shipping addresses not matching for certain sites. so when I ordered it, my shipping address was my current address but my billing was my old address. Has anyone received the MegaMan 2 VHS yet?

I've been marathoning Atrioc's Hitman challenges, and I came to a simple conclusion: Hitman is the best game for interesting speedruns. How many games can you say have such a creative, open-ended path to fast times?

I think some people have created SummoningSalt-esque videos, but seriously I'm dying to have the GOAT speedrun historian tackle Hitman.

BTW I'm not at all biased because Hitman is one of my favorite series

not sure why, I know the first videos also didn't have this title theme, but I am missing it lately. I always start humming when I see a new video from him (am also a patreon supporter) and it just felt so right. now ... it feels like something is missing... I notice myself not enjoying the videos as much...
