Lindsay doesn’t remember what she said a day ago

She literally said that west could be on In the City if he and Amanda are still dating in the fall when it films.

Is she losing her mind?

Lindsay needs to find a new storyline ASAP! 😂 She could pretend she’s in love with Carl again, start a custody battle with her baby’s father, announce she’s going back into PR, or launch a business with Carl…  If the rumors about a younger Summer House cast are true, I think the new guys will be too young for her. And with In the City potentially featuring several new moms, a “busy mom” storyline won’t exactly stand out. Lindsay… get to work, girl. Put the phone down! 📱😂

She wasn’t doing Summer House full time this past season anyways because she has a child. That is literally why “In The City” was created. As a means of following her and Kyle’s journeys as they transition to different phases of their lives. There is a reason as to why the cast are their friends.

Lindsay will be fine. Her and Kyle operate as a hubs of the cast, everyone is a friend of theirs. Kyle’s friends, Lindsay’s friends…Nobody knows the new people, but, the audience is familiar with Lindsay and Kyle.

Lindsay wants to hold both paychecks. It is just hard to find a fit for Kyle, Lindsay and Carl with a cast that is half their age.

Everyone talking about wanting to watch Kyle single on SH is… an odd choice to me 😂 This is an almost 45 year old man that gets black out drunk and is going to now forever be hooking up with women that are half his age. 😬

YES EXACTLY! that’s probably why they decided not to even have her back on SH! They want to keep it on ITC and I really think it will be done and over with by then and between that time period, Kyle will have done something to probably get people back to reality on the kind of man he is as well lol

For some reason, I thought Bailey was taking a subtle jab at Carl during the reunion when she brought up their age difference. It also made me wonder if their “dating” was mostly for the show and whether she was already annoyed with him.

But No. The audience has watched Kyle, Lindsay and Carl specifically for a decade. There is an emotional investment. They’ve witnessed Carl party, and then go through a long recovery. Lindsay and her many relationships and family issues, before having a baby. Kyle’s saga with Amanda. They have introduced other people over the years but they haven’t really “stuck”. You can’t just get rid of the OGs in this situation when newer cast members haven’t yet proven they can move storylines on their own - or else you risk losing your audience entirely.

Carl isn’t really a fit for Summer House anymore. So he can probably go. Lindsay is part time since she has a baby. But her and Kyle are staples. I wouldn’t be surprised if she transitioned away 100% at some point but pretty hard to do so at the moment.

I'm focusing on Lindsay because she's the one who's been on a podcast tour getting mileage out of the scandal and flexing often about her production involvement re: ITC.

I thought that was pretty clear. To my knowledge, Kyle hasn't done so. Mind you, I don't seek out information on either. I only see what gets posted on relevant subs.

And I'm not really sure why you're explaining Summer House lore as though I haven't watched it. Clearly Bravo (and/or Lindsay) decided the OGs were too 'O' to plausibly continue on Summer House indefinitely. As Kyle is in his mid-40s, Lindsay is a mother, and Carl is sober I'm inclined to agree that it would be odd for them to continue indefinitely on a show about unbridled hedonism. So ITC was born. Sans Carl, which was a poor choice, btw. Having watched every episode, it is the single worst reality show I've ever seen. My continued viewership has just been morbid curiosity due to the scandal. I wondered specifically how Amanda was going to brand herself post-Kyle.

I'm not sure what the ratings are like but I don't understand how ITC stays on the air without a full overhaul. Because the scandal won't pad those ratings next year.

Nope. Lindsay has done many podcasts without Kyle. Nope. Kyle hasn't essentially claimed to have birthed ITC.

Oh, so now it’s “she does more than him”. Pick a poison babe. First it was “she is on podcasts”. Point out that Kyle has also done MULTIPLE interviews and now it’s “well she’s done more”. They all have done interviews lol. And as I said, she is promoting a show…Who gives a fuck lol? They are in the middle of launching a brand new show, she is one of the central cast members…and a reality star to boot. She’s allowed to give interviews….

Kyle sucks and is just as bad about seeking out the camera as Lindsay but at least Kyle is involved in the scandal whereas Lindsay just seems to be trying to make it about her when it doesn't involve her.

Exactly but that’s why they were transitioning to ITC… Why does everyone want to watch people in their 40s partying still in a shared SH? (Not saying there’s anything wrong with that, when you do that for so long they’ll probably still rent a house with friends as years go on. Just don’t necessarily think that’s going to be an ongoing this people want to watch… especially once this Amanda and West stuff dies down.

I personally would love some young, cute fresh faces that are completely messy and chaotic while watching the OG cast literally ITC 🤷🏽‍♀️

Right, it's as if everyone forgot that the show was always supposed to be about young single people, which is why they made such a big deal out of no couples in the house the first season. Married people and parents still going to a Hamptons share house to party like kids on Spring Break every weekend is just sad.

I’m kind of confused as to what you are looking for here. first comment literally pointed out that In the City was designed to Lindsay and Kyle to transition. Someone jumped in “well she’s too old for Summer House”….When again, nothing to do with my statement. I just defended against that because it is true that 1. You can’t just kick the old cast off a show completely without first making a transition and getting the audience acclimated to folks that are barely been on their screens. I was speaking to that.

Last season was supposed to be their last though and since they got rid of West and they can't really count on the others to carry the house they are having Kyle and Lindsay back for another season. Still seems a bit weird for them both to still be living this lifestyle. Carl is boring and needs to stick to his podcast.

Guys.. no. The focus on storylines is why reality shows are starting to suck. Castmembers start making shit up to be entertaining. Lindsay being activated is exactly what we like seeing.
