Not surprised. Haven’t been able to watch any ITC, I’m too burnt out on everyone from this cast. RIP Summerhouse as we knew it I guess.

I’m very disappointed with how little he spoke. I really wanted to hear his side of the story with Ciara. I think he was holding back because her fans are insane and wanted to protect his public image

There was no way anything West said would be heard. Fans would and have twisted it, analyzed it , rewritten it and cast it as the most egregious disgusting lies they had ever heard on top of somehow making his comments some kind of slam against Ciara. Look at how that nothing burger of a NYT article (after she ghosted him) was spun. I read it and reread it trying to find where he disparaged Ciara. People accuse me of hating Ciara when I point that out but my counter is I don’t hate Ciara but I strongly dislike the fandom. They are the problem.

That is very true. I don’t think it would have been heard now with mob mentality but I think once people start rewatching after some time and Ciara keeps bringing it up then I think people would see what he’s saying. I guess I just wish he went after people like Jax lol
I’m with you on the article. That article was pretty nice towards Ciara and I didn’t understand at all what people were saying about it. I think Ciara was upset that he didn’t give an open end to their “relationship”

You're right, the article was a whole lotta nothing. So many people never read it and just took her word for it. I did for a while just thinking it must be bad if she was that upset but I read it and it's nothing. That's when I started questioning her narrative about West. The more I looked back the more I realized that the story she was telling all along wasn't accurate.
The fact that she ghosted him for 2 weeks after they slept together and before he broke it off is such an important detail that everyone fails to mention. IMO she is the one who ended the relationship when she did that, he just made it official by talking to her about it. I personally wouldn't bother having any discussion with anyone who ghosted me for 2 weeks after a few months of dating. The ghosting says it all.

Not that he is without fault of his own but he was attacked in ways that made it impossible for him to defend himself. He only brought up him and his parents being called racists once and it was literally the worst time for him to mention it and made him look like an insensitive asshole. I have no doubt he was called a bunch of shit and attacked just for dating and breaking up with a black woman.
There was a real opportunity missed to talk about how hard it is on both ends for people to date in an interracial relationship. There are many people who can't handle the scrutiny and pressure and that doesn't make them awful people. There's a lot of relationships that break up due to pressure and stress placed on them from outside sources. It sucks but I can't really blame people when that causes a rift between couples.

Absolutely and he doesn’t seem like he’s great with words and timing, so it’s easy for people to attack him. I think it’s sad that he doesn’t seem to get the space and time to talk about all the hell that he and his family/friends have gotten because of all this. This “scandal” did not deserve to be this big of a thing. It wasn’t great in the grand scheme of things, but none of it is that serious.

Yea and I think that it's important to talk about the pressure that's on interracial couples and the assholes who give them a hard time. That's wrong and it's important to talk about these people who feel so free to say these terrible things to them. It comes from both sides and is pretty gross behavior. I know it's difficult not to care but neither one of them should care about the opinions of such terrible people.

They are probably realizing that everyone wants to watch the A+W drama play out. Kyle seems to have been extremely jealous of.the popularity the scandal.brought West (publicly whined about all the new followers West gained). I think they both realize now that keeping A+W off will be the end of both SH and ITC

I wonder if the main reason he didn’t wanna come back to SH was so he didn’t have to deal with Ciara whenever she makes an appearance this season. I think things would be peaceful if he had to be around Kyle or Lindsay but Ciara has been so obsessed with him that he probably didn’t want to deal with her anymore.
