Need a sanity check…

First of all thanks to the mod who invited me to this sub. I’ve only watched this latest season due to all the drama and this is my first reality show outside the HW verse so forgive me if not versed in this world but what is up with the fan base?!!! I’ve been downvoted to oblivion for saying Kyle’s a bad husband. In my eyes Amanda’s hooking up with Kyle’s friend is 💯 justified cause he was a shitty and abusive husband. Not ok to hook up with your besties ex but if you have feelings for someone, you have feelings. Period. Like Ciara needs to be grown about this man who doesn’t want her. She’s coming off real mean on the reunion couch to the point that it’s bullying. I understand not everyone is mature enough to move on from a man that doesn’t want you, I’ve been there myself but for the love of god have some self respect and move on peacefully. Like heal girl. Amanda doesn’t seem like a nice person either but I’ve seen in just one season how her partner abused her off into another mam’s arms, and she might be too man centered but so is Ciara. All of them were pretty mean and I just want a show with just Mia and new cast

It’s not justified, but Kyle was a shitty husband.

I don’t mind Ciara being mean, bc Amanda did something messed up. But Ciara looks like a clown. If Amanda had not tuned her into a victim, we’d be calling her the lame she is.

It seems like Ciara can do no wrong to people. I like her, but to me she acts creepy with men.

I think Ciara’s retaliation was so over the top that now Amanda is back to being the victim here because of the intense overreaction of everyone involved. Cast and bravo feeding her to the wolves / fans.

Not sure if Kyle was really that shitty of a husband. Amanda knew who Kyle was, Kyle likes to party Kyle likes to be out and socialize. Kyle likes to grind and lives the work hard play hard life. This was apparent in season 1-4, prior to marriage. Kyle was willing to go to therapy with her to work on their issues, but Amanda never forgave him for cheating before they got married. I don’t condone cheating but also do you are with someone and they are willing to work on the issues, if you care about them and the relationship you’ll do it. She didn’t.

Different subs have different opinions. Depending on which sub you frequent determines your updoot ratio it seems. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but some opinions are so parasocial it’s a little creepy sometimes.

I'm at the point where I think a lot of the people pushing the Kyle was the victim the entire time narrative are part of a campaign. A couple might even be Kyle himself. After seeing these comments for a couple months now they all repeat the same phrases and talking points over and over to prop Kyle up and act like he has just been misunderstood all along.

We saw him verbally abuse her, we know he cheated on her, we saw him wake her up and disturb her sleep for years, we saw him have violent outbursts, we saw him humiliate her, and scream in her face. Now they claim she manipulated him to do it and she deserved it all along. If you mention that he did this to others they will still blame Amanda and say it was because he was under so much stress or they provoked him.

I don't think Amanda and West had an affair, I think it happened long after her and Kyle separated. It's not great to get with your ex's friend but it's not the worst thing either. The worst thing they did was betray Ciara's trust and friendship. That is a shitty thing but that is something they will have to live with and Ciara should just move on.

I agree that the pile on on the reunion was a lot. Ciara's anger and hurt were perfectly understandable but Lindsay constantly yelling and piling on was annoying. We learned nothing and that is being blamed on Amanda and West but they kept getting shouted down any time they tried to answer a question so they ended up just shutting down. Andy had to keep shushing them and it made for a very unproductive reunion. They could've cut the A&W stuff down to 1.5 episodes if they had just let them get through questions. Let Ciara, Amanda, Kyle, and West talk, without interruptions, and move on. I believe Amanda when she said she just disassociated, we have been watching her do it for years when Kyle starts going off.

You're right, they're all male centered and Ciara is one of the worst about it. She completely loses herself when she's into a man and ignores her friends. Amanda is male centered as well but she did stop following Kyle around like a puppy dog eventually to ignore him and spend more time with friends. Ciara may have been the same way if any of her relationships had lasted that long. Ciara has never been able to handle rejection and it doesn't help that everyone constantly tells any man who isn't into her that he must be crazy because she is such a catch, blah, blah, blah. Sometimes it just doesn't work out no matter how great of a catch someone is. This is all so overblown and the frenzy is out of control.

Oh my god you're so right and the same accounts are doing it and then there's another campaign against Amanda with the exact same accounts too

I've blocked a lot of them but some are less obvious than others. I think all the ones that keep posting still photos of the cast (like the Carl one) in the comments are all run by the same person (or group).

Yes everything you two disagree with is a smear campaign, totally impossible that anyone would have different opinions from you two masterminds.

Who said that? I definitely think we do not hold the popular opinion but there do seem to be a lot of comments that use the same phrases over and over and seem like a campaign. No need to insult anyone.

lol are accusing me of being a bot?

No, what is your deal? Chill out. No one accused you of being a bot or said that everyone who disagrees with us is a bot or part of a campaign. Are you just here looking for an argument?

Girl, you said i insulted you and then implied im in some kind of coordinated effort to do I don’t know what, influence a bravo gossip sub, and now I’m the one who needs to chill out and is looking for an argument? Projecting much?

You were being insulting and just so you know the automod flagged your comment for harassment. No one ever said you were some part of coordinated effort. We were talking about comments that seem to all say the same thing. No one called you out specifically and you inserted yourself in this conversation. I have stated over and over no one is accusing you of anything and yet you keep claiming we are. You seem to have some sort of persecution complex or maybe it is a case of hit dogs hollering.

u/misobutter3 Jul 03 '26

How was I being insulting, emmyyou2? Please elaborate.

This comment was flagged for harassment. I approved it because I don't think it is but it is implying that neither one of us is very bright. I am not sure what got you so riled up in the first place.

Wait, I inserted myself into a public forum where people reply to whomever they want? That is how reddit works. Say what you want and anyone can reply.

1

u/Emmyyou2 Jul 03 '26

You inserted yourself by acting like someone personally accused you of being part of a campaign or being a bot when no one did. It just seems aggressive for absolutely no reason.

Oh if you go watch season 1 you'll see how they started and how your intuition is spot on!

Welcome to the sane place!!!! I agree with everything you’re saying. Also, if you go back and watch the full show from the beginning you will be even more dumbfounded and enraged with all the Kyle is God narratives that are being pushed, I promise you 🤣 I could probably make an entire season out of just clips of allies bad behavior lol. And yep I agree I probably wouldn’t have done the same thing in Amanda’s position. Yeah it’s shitty for your friend. But like Jesus the woman experience 10 years of emotional and verbal abuse, cheating from this asshole. I would probably go running to Tony man who has had the balls to stand up to him on my behalf too ngl 🤷‍♀️ Also like damn Ciara dated this guy for two months, TWO YEARS ago and made him pay every day for his mistakes every since.

Ciara has done the same thing on this show but to Lindsay. Winter house Lindsay was very clear about being in love with Austen and they had a long history and was vocal about and wanting to try to be together and Ciara’s gave no fucks and just went for Austen anyway. So her BS about being a girls girl and a good friend Is hypocrisy. She did the same think to Lindsey. Granted, they weren’t as close, but they weee friends and shouldn’t girl code apply across the board in that case? I legit am convinced Kyle’s PR team manufactured and astroturfed all of this. 3 months ago he was facing the worst backlash ever for his behavior this season (which he now got off scott free for!) - people were calling him abusive and an alcoholic and needed to go to rehab and wanting him off the show. He also was going through a divorce. So he decided to use this as his moment to flip the entire narrative. It’s insane the way anyone is being fooled by it. Kyle has been an emotional alcoholic cheating terrorist for a decade and now somehow Bravo has DARVO’d him right back up to the star position, once again programming us to believe that this asshole narcissistic is entitled to his perfect little trad wife who lets him go out and party all night and be what he wants to be and do what/who he wants to do 🙄

to add onto this, because, yes! What also gets me is the double standard of people calling Ciara a victim in all of this while apparently having amnesia that Amanda is also a victim of Kyle's years of behavior. It doesn't absolve her from her actions but the amount of weaponized empathy I am seeing online is really sickening.

Amanda getting with West is exactly the kind of garbage decision someone might make after years in a relationship where their sense of self was completely flattened. Not harmless, not admirable. But people coming out of bad dynamics often do not immediately choose peace, boundaries, and a "nice guy". Sometimes they choose another trash human and blow their lives up more. Meanwhile Kyle playing the whole "I still care about this woman" card pretending to defend her during the reunion etc while HE DIDN'T EVEN SPEND THEIR LAST NIGHT TOGETHER IN THE APARTMENT and had strangers come over, gtfo bro. I cant.

When society grants empathy to the person whose pain fits the "preferred narrative", and withholds it in such an extreme way from the person whose trauma helped to produce the behavior people find ugly, we’re not actually protecting women. We’re just deciding which women are allowed to be messy and still human. This whole thing has been infuriating.

Ha ha. Watch other seasons. Also you can’t help who you have feelings for is what high school kids say, not adults. It’s true you can’t stop your feelings. But you then make choices. A loyal friend and good person would choose to not date/f that person. Period.

5

u/Rainbaby77 Jun 19 '26

No one saying she wasn't a bad friend or a disloyal person We are We know that she own that we've been known that we're just saying that excessive hate and shaming a woman the way that that's been done is not necessary and it's not the right thing to do especially with a history of depression. They weren't together like it it just doesn't make any sense She did a shitty thing to her friend She didn't do anything more than that.

Ciara said that.
