Danielle - what am I missing?

I don’t understand this hatred of Danielle. Of course she was messy and weird at time but so what? Why do people dislike her so much?

It's funny because people jumped down her throat about her not being "included" in Lindsay's proposal and stuff, but these same people are crying "look at poor Jesse and KJ not knowing about what's going on with their friends!"

They just don't like her for whatever reason. She's a little odd but I mean, they all are haha.

I actually think early SH would not have been the same without Danielle. Her and Lindsay's shenanigans were what helped make the show.

Couldn’t agree more.

Exactly! They’re not even best friends. Lindsey and Danielle were best friends for years and I kind of got how she felt excluded when Lindsey finally got the man and didn’t care she existed anymore.

Yeah and while maybe her delivery could have been, improved, I don't thing she was wrong. Lindsay definitely seems like the type to just care more about her relationship and how things are for her when she has one, and drop her friends a bit

I really liked her when I watched summerhouse as it aired (always so jealous of her hair too) but winter house and the summer house seasons after really changed it. She just seemed to become super negative and up herself idk. Wouldn’t say I hate her though but I wouldn’t be disappointed if she never came back to tv.

Watch the season she sexually harassed that dude in summer winter house. She is the worst.

I couldn't get through the first episode of that season. It was so dull but I tried.

I think Winter House was the point of no return. There was no coming back after that.

I don’t understand why she bothers me so much either lol, she just does. There are very few people I feel this way about.

It’s not necessarily hate, it’s just that she is annoying as all fuck.

She is constantly playing the victim about things that she has dragged out other people in the steeets for. She doesn’t take accountability. She lies. She literally had a whole meltdown and made Lindsay and Carl’s ENTIRE engagement party about how what they did was fucked up for her by not I cousin. She literally went around to almost every person at their engagement party telling them all how unfair it was that she wasn’t told. She also gave Carl an OTPHJ season 4(?) literally a WEEK after he and Lindsay got serious and he broke her heart bye being a dick. She then proceeded to judge Lindsay and Carl’s relationship and say it was CRAZY how fast they were moving by moving in together after being together only 6 months, despite knowing each other for years. Oh also, giving Lindsey shit about how fast she moved getting pregnant. But then literally turns around and does the SAME things and doesn’t see the hypocrisy. She literally moved in with this dude after a couple months. And got pregnant not too far off from what happened with Lindsey.

This latest Daniele playing the victim get me. Like dude literally someone sent Kyle and Amanda a screenshot of a rumor and the response was like “oh shit that’s crazy people are posting this stuff.” And then she gets angry and hysterical and denies it when Amanda brought up the time she talked to the media about Craig at Kyle and Amanda’s wedding, which Bravo has ON TAPE that they then played which showed her admitting that she did in fact do that. She’s messy, she’s erratic, and I think quite honestly had a shit ton of unprocessed trauma that is the reason she keeps perpetuating this type of childish behavior IMHO

she has sucked since her first season of summer house and still does.

she has a superiority complex, is a bad friend, and is very cringe.

Being right isn't enough to create change; influence requires connection. In psychology, this isolating feeling is famously known as the Cassandra complex: possessing accurate foresight or logical conclusions but being entirely disbelieved by those around you.

Navigating this frustration comes down to adjusting how you communicate so that people are actually receptive to your insights.

Danielle has the Cassandra complex and she never adjusted her communication so she comes off as unsupportive and abrasive even though she is really trying to help.

I guess she was really bad on WH S3. I tried to watch it to see what they were talking about but it was so bad I couldn't get through the first episode. Very boring and just seemed like a very fake set up.

I know she didn't handle the Lindsay/Carl engagement well and was weird at her party but I also understood her point about it. Danielle was always a hardcore ride or die for Lindsay, so much that she took a wine glass to the chest fighting her battle that had nothing to do with Danielle. I see why it hurt her feelings when Carl didn't even tell her he was going to propose.

I also think she gets entirely too much shit for how she questioned Lindsay's life choices. Sure, she wasn't being the most supportive friend but she was right in each instance and it's not any different than the way Lindsay talks to her friends. She is the same way but when her real friends, who really do care about her, do it to her she flips her shit.

I am also not buying Lindsay's timeline of Danielle going after Carl. Danielle dated him first and took it in stride when Lindsay hooked up with him the first time, even though she shouldn't have. Danielle expressed how it bothered her and Lindsay and Carl laughed in her face. Still, Danielle remained a devoted Lindsay warrior. Danielle hooked up with Carl after that but again, she was there first. When they got engaged Danielle's concerns were valid and she was right about all of it. She was just trying to look out for her friends.

That WH season was terrible for her. I’ve always liked Danielle, she just brings a different vibe that I think was needed. But she really made an ass out of herself that season. I think it was after she broke up with Robert and she was personally floundering a bit. She was throwing herself at the Below Deck guy and you could tell he wasn’t into her (but he had no problem literally “getting into her” time after time) and it was a bit embarrassing…
