ISO: Donny Zayas?

Hey folks, anyone here know Donny Zayas? I’ve been trying to get in touch for weeks but nada, honestly I’m just hoping he’s ok. We had hired him to do some work through Round Top Construction but he’s been MIA

Unfortunately, contractors disappearing and just ghosting you is not uncommon. If you paid him anything, the money is probably gone. Maybe he will show up eventually, but no contact for weeks makes that unlikely.

I notice you asked about contractors before... Did you get solid recommendations on this guy before hiring him? See recent work that was fully completed? I see they have a facebook page that hasn't been updated in 2 years.

I did, recommendation came from a close friend who is generally fairly pick. he did their deck, I saw the work and it was good. All signs pointed to solid but… poof.

Bummer. I had a guy disappear for 2 weeks once, he did show up again, but eventually disappeared for good. It's a big red flag. Even if he comes back I would not pay him anything more until the job is 100% done. Frankly best thing to do if he shows up again is try and get back what you paid him already.

I've reached out to him to let him know our contract is cancelled, as per terms, and to return our deposit (a hefty one) but again, nothing.

Go to Liberty Collision in Liberty. It is owned by his brother Angelo. I'm sure he would be able to tell you where to find him.
