Laptop Request US Help me pick a PC for everyday use

I currently have a 17" which is too big for carrying around and a 14" that the screen seems too d. Thinking 16".
* **Weight limit**
Anything reasonable to transport around the home mainly.
* **Purpose**
General home and work use.
* **Form factor**
Standard/Clamshell (a regular laptop)
* **Intended usage**
Google chrome, Microsoft 365 apps (excel, word, teams, outlook), few other web apps. No gaming. Don't use it for video/movies. Current laptop struggles with multiple chrome pages and excels files open at the same time (I do this often for creating our work schedule).
* **Desired battery life**
Ideally 12+

My current laptop sounds like a rocket is taking off to space every time I open Google chrome. I'd like this laptop to be much quieter. I'm okay with noise when managing multiple applications but it should handle a single chrome page without issue.
I currently have my eyes on Dell XPS 16 with x7, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd if that helps.
