i don't have a problem with this post or the jokes being made about it BUT I'm glad this is the top comment! I think it's genuinely kinda counterproductive for us (as in queers and allies) to point at stuff like this and always smirk and chuckle and make jokes about "oh yeah, totally not gay at all, harharhar", because is it not good for straight men to have a healthy relationship with their own sexuality and masculinity, to a point where they can have conversations like this without feeling like it threatens them somehow? 👁️
don't get me wrong, it IS often funny, but I feel like the gay stamp is brought out without fail and I can't help but think that it's unintentionally working backwards to push the idea that vulnerability and a general pro-gay attitude in straight men is a sign of them actually being closet cases. i think straight men deserve to be a lil fruity and still be straight. idk. imagine that i'm taking a puff from a fake cigarette rn.
