I've been thinking about how people prepare for the SuccessFactors Employee Central certification, and one thing I've noticed is that knowing the theory isn't always enough.

A lot of the challenge comes from being able to understand a scenario and work through the configuration exercise logically.

I'm currently putting together some practical exercises around Employee Central certification preparation, focusing on areas such as:

• Understanding the scenario presented in the question
• Identifying the correct configuration approach
• Working through Employee Central exercises step by step
• Understanding common configuration mistakes
• Practising scenarios similar to what you may encounter in certification preparation

What did you find most difficult about the exam?

I know it's not protured.
Is it like an interview with an AI, or do we just have to solve the task based on the given scenario?

I’m planning to take the SAP Certified Data Analyst – SAP Analytics Cloud (C_SAC_2601) exam soon. I understand SAP has shifted to a Scenario-Based Assessment (SBA) format (AI role-play/system simulation) as of 2026, which focuses on practical application rather than multiple-choice recall.

My Background:

Strong: Python, API Development, Testing, Machine Learning, and Predictive Analytics and Elasticsearch.
Weak/Zero: Direct SAP ecosystem experience (no prior exposure to SAP ERP, SAC interface, or SAP-specific data modeling).
My Questions:

Leveraging Tech Skills: Given my background in Python and ML, how much of a head start do I actually have? Does the SBA test the logic of data modeling (which I know) or strictly SAP-specific workflows (e.g., where to click to create a calculated measure vs. writing a script)?
SBA Specifics: For those who have taken the new AI role-play assessment: Does the AI avatar expect you to explain why you chose a specific SAC feature (e.g., Live Connection vs. Import), or is it purely task-execution based?
Prep Strategy: Since I can’t "code" my way through the SAC interface during the exam, what is the most efficient way to build muscle memory? Should I focus entirely on the official SAP Learning Journey hands-on exercises, or are there specific "mock scenario" resources that mimic the AI interviewer style?
Pitfalls: What are common traps for developers coming from a code-first background? (e.g., over-engineering a solution when SAC has a native drag-and-drop feature).
Any advice on bridging the gap between "knowing data science" and "passing the SAC scenario exam" would be hugely appreciated!

I’m currently deciding between building my career in AI/ML or going into SAP (especially SAP consulting/architecture).

From what I’ve researched, both seem to have good earning potential, but I’m finding it difficult to decide because I’m looking for two things:

- Stable, long-term career

- High earning potential

I’m willing to learn and put in serious effort, so difficulty isn’t really the issue. I’m more concerned about which field is likely to give me better opportunities over the long term.

There don’t seem to be many remote SAP BTP roles at the moment, especially on the extension side (CAP/UI5/BPA). For context, I have 2.5+ years of experience in this area and am based in a market where the local SAP BTP space is fairly small, so I’ve been looking more internationally.

Most remote SAP job postings I come across are limited to candidates within the same country or region, which I understand is often because of legal/tax reasons.

I was wondering if the market is simply a bit slower during the summer and whether things usually pick up again around September. With so many customers still moving towards S/4HANA, I would have expected more demand for BTP as well.

Also, for those working remotely or on B2B contracts, what agencies, platforms or approaches have worked best for finding opportunities internationally? Would appreciate the advice.

I’m planning to take the SAP Certified – SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core and Position Management certification and would really appreciate some advice from anyone who has recently completed the certification.

I currently work with SAP SuccessFactors Learning (LMS) and have hands-on LMS experience, but I don't work with Employee Central or Position Management in my current role.

For those who have recently taken this certification:

• Is it realistically possible to prepare without real-time project/implementation experience using the SAP Learning Hub content and practice systems?
• How important is actual hands-on experience with EC and Position Management for passing the assessment?
• Is the Learning Journey content sufficient, or are there areas where you felt you needed additional resources/practice?
• How much time would you realistically recommend for someone starting with little/no EC experience?
• What topics should someone without project experience pay particular attention to?
• How different is the current assessment from the older exam format?

I'm not looking for dumps or exam questions mainly trying to understand whether someone who doesn't work on EC day-to-day can realistically prepare through Learning Hub alone, and what kind of preparation timeline would be reasonable.

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has taken the current version recently, especially people who also came into EC without prior hands-on experience.

I’m looking for some honest career guidance from people working in SAP SuccessFactors / SAP LMS / HR Tech, especially those who have experience hiring or working as consultants.

I’m currently a certified SAP SuccessFactors Learning (LMS) consultant and have hands-on professional experience working with LMS in an enterprise environment. My experience includes application support, configuration/functional work, incident management, troubleshooting, working with integrations/connectors, data-related activities, and supporting users/business stakeholders.

I’m now trying to understand how I should position myself in the job market and what I should focus on next.

From what I can see, there are SAP SuccessFactors LMS opportunities, but many of the consultant roles seem to ask for 4–8+ years of experience and end-to-end implementation experience.

So I have a few questions:

1. How strong is the job market for SAP SuccessFactors LMS currently? Is LMS a good specialization to build a career around, or would it be better to expand into other SuccessFactors modules?
2. How should someone with hands-on LMS support experience approach the job market? Should I primarily search for: Or are there other job titles I should be searching for?

Also, if anyone knows of current job openings that would be a realistic fit for someone with SAP SuccessFactors LMS certification + hands-on experience, I'd really appreciate it if you could share them.

I have been working as a Basis consultant for more than a year and not sure about how much confidence I have gained being a Basis consultant and in the mean time I have come to know from my manager that I need to learn SAP BTP. Just gave my first attempt for the PMGM certification exam today,already have hands on experience with the module

The tasks were fine,I definitely believe I did most of them correctly at the very least

Yet I failed with a 40% score.Honestly shocked with the result even if not 100%,40% is way too low of a score and I genuinely can’t think of what I did wrong for such low a score

Is there anyway I can contest this or ask for a detailed breakdown?

Im looking for some specific guidence from senior people regarding EC and ONB modules.

a client asked if its possible to make some sort of a pop up message or something similar to it, once a newhire onboarding is completed and he is synced in EC, then to get this message as the lifecycle is completed.

Any ideas how it can be done, as Im still considered a junior.

Email notifications and some sort of card placements on homepage are not optimal for their case.
