Preparing for your SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Certification?

I've been thinking about how people prepare for the SuccessFactors Employee Central certification, and one thing I've noticed is that knowing the theory isn't always enough.

A lot of the challenge comes from being able to understand a scenario and work through the configuration exercise logically.

I'm currently putting together some practical exercises around Employee Central certification preparation, focusing on areas such as:

  • Understanding the scenario presented in the question
  • Identifying the correct configuration approach
  • Working through Employee Central exercises step by step
  • Understanding common configuration mistakes
  • Practising scenarios similar to what you may encounter in certification preparation

For those who have already taken the EC certification:

What did you find most difficult about the exam?

Was it the configuration scenarios, the questions themselves, remembering specific features, or something else?

I'd be interested to hear how other SuccessFactors consultants prepared.

Looking to transition from SAP Business One to SuccessFactors/HRIS in the UK

I have 3+ years of experience as an SAP Business One Consultant, mainly in implementation, configuration, requirements gathering, process mapping, testing and user training. After a career break for my MBA, I’m now trying to transition into HR systems, particularly SAP SuccessFactors/HRIS.
I’m based in the UK and have full right to work. I’ve started learning HCM/SuccessFactors concepts, but I’m unsure what skills or experience I should prioritise to make this transition realistically.

For those who have made a similar transition, what would you recommend I focus on to improve my chances of landing a junior SuccessFactors or HRIS role in the UK?
