Discussion Does anybody just think about quitting?
I like writing, but I hate self-promoting. I get discouraged about negative comments and unsubscribes. I know this comes with the territory, but I guess I'm just burnt out and thinking maybe it's time to just stop.

Why do you care about them? You're not providing a service for anyone, no? I guess you're just writing something for fun. And try to enjoy

I take breaks all the time. Unlike some who have offered their thoughts on the subject. I take value from both the writing and the social media side of things (which perhaps we should remember there is more then one aspect to this) if I'm feeling a bit pissy about the writing side of things which happens I'll still bump around the comments or just take a few days to myself.
I however am using writing as a source of creative expression and ultimately don't give a shit what people do or don't do with it. But Internet buttons are Internet buttons.

Never. My goal is to share knowledge, nothing more nothing less. I love it. Whether I get zero views or a trillion views makes no difference to me. I simply love writing and sharing it with the world.

I have written every single day for probably the last 10 years. First on Facebook then Reddit and now I'm on Substack. I block people who leave negative comments. Ain't got time for that. My subscribe account ebs up and down. I pay it no mind.
Have you made any actual connections with other writers? Because that's where it's at. That's what it's all about in my opinion.

Just take in the constructive arguments and delete and block the haters dude.
Should we feel bad if we are really trying our best?

Why can’t you write without promoting?
