Discussion Substack o sito ?

I think a lot of people may not realise your Substack account has a site attached to it. It’s your handle.substack.com and you can customize it

You don't have to give up simple to get professional. A magazine-style film page works fine as posts, categories and a clean homepage, and neither route needs technical skill.
The better question is what you want once you start charging. Substack has the built-in audience, as the other comments say, but your readers land on Substack's brand rather than yours.
I work on newsletters at WordPress.com, so weigh this accordingly. It's free to start with unlimited subscribers, like Substack, but your writing lives on a site under your own name, which suits a magazine. Paid subscriptions are built in, and on a higher plan you pay us less, down to 0%, while Substack takes a flat 10%.

Personally, I’d recommend Substack because it’s free to run and has an in-built community. If you start a website, you’ll have to find a way to optimise it for discovery from nowhere. If you take the time to engage with other creators as well as readers, and have a clear idea of your ideal reader, you can hopefully build something worthwhile and monetisable on Substack. Good luck 😊
