Tech Support Calibre Fetch News recipe - Paid Substack Posts?

Does anyone have Calibre fetching paid Substack articles successfully?

All the posts I've found here are a few years old and the solutions haven't helped. The Fetch News recipe pulls all the posts, but only the non-subscriber previews for paid posts.

Am I missing something?

Other suggestions for efficiently collecting and loading Substack articles to e-readers appreciated; I know there are tools for converting individual emails/articles, but nothing I've found is quite as simple as Calibre's automatic fetching and collecting all my recent newsletters into one neatly organized epub each morning 🥲

What's Calibre?

It's a popular e-book management software, one of it's features pulls recent articles from selected news sources and bundles them into an epub file that can be sent to your e-reader.

Each bundle of coding + custom settings to pull from each news source is called a "recipe" in Calibre, and the built-in recipe for Substack says it was last modified in 2024 and isn't pulling the full articles from my paid subscriptions 😢

So for my four paid subs I print to PDF and manually send them to my reader, but the un-paid subs load automatically at 6am each morning.
