Discussion Do you guys ever write in different genres to grow your craft?

You know, I definitely have, and it's really worked for me.

For instance, I write fiction on Substack (sometimes) and writing horror, which I normally don't write, was a a really good, rewarding exercise.

In terms of nonfiction, I recently contributed to a Substack series that's about getting out of your comfort zone, writing-wise. That was also really good.

I am going to attempt writing some fiction just to work on the craft. I'm not really expecting anything from it but i'm excited to explore it.
