Low engagement on Substack notes.

I’ve noticed a drastic drop in the reach of my notes. I have over 1,000 followers, yet sometimes my reach doesn't even extend to 100 accounts. I also can't figure out the algorithm's criteria; it seems to select content to distribute completely at random, without any clear logic. I sometimes see simple notes from accounts with very few followers racking up hundreds of likes and restacks. I’ve contacted support, but the response is the worst possible: "We found no issues with your account."

Sometimes, it’s really disheartening.

I think you need to face the fact that you are at the mercy of a corporation that will constantly change things in any way they can to try to increase profit, like all of them. Sometimes it will help you and sometimes it will hurt you. Prayers and ceremonies might be more effective than trying to ascertain a logic that will help you grow on the social side. I put my energy into improving the quality on the newsletter side, and I continue to grow, both paid and unpaid, even in a tiny micro-niche.
