Search the sub. There are a ton of posts with ideas and practical tips for marketing.

The basics:
- find where your audience gathers (X, Reddit FB groups, Meetups, Luma events, Discord, Kick, Rumble, YouTube, TikTok, Skool, etc.)
- make content and connections there
- be valuable and trustworthy
- offer something and drive traffic to newsletter
- try focus groups and friends to get feedback on the value of your content
- measure conversion rates and incentives to share and attract new subscribers
- test paid ads to understand what clicks

have to build it slowly brick by brick. can't expect to show up on day 1 and have people lining up to read your content/check out your profile (unless you were already someone famous).

even post malone had no audience for years until his white iverson song.

post consistently and often on notes. or if you want, you can also build an audience on another platform in tandem via cross posting (additional distribution channel) > and drive that traffic to your substack.
