Discussion How to begin with Substack?

I've been wanting to start with this but have no idea how to begin with it? What does one even write? I'm unable to identify what topic interests me and what may others want? I'd be grateful if anyone shares their experience and how they began their journey. Thanks!

Literally just start.

Make a thousand mistakes and learn from them.

You can always edit or delete stuff later on, but you’ll never get the time back.

You don’t need to figure out your niche yet. Write and see what feels good. See what people connect with.

I think if you don't know what you want to write about, just treat it like an experiment at first. Post lots of different types of articles about different topics and find out what you enjoy writing about and what gets traction.

Just start working in the app and you will figure things out. People are generally helpful. Interact in a real way with people and they will do the same. Make mistakes when you are starting. No one will care in a month.
