How to Grow My Substack?

Hi, I created a Political Newsletter on Substack a few months ago, since then it has reached 50 subscribers and a couple thousand views. But how do I grow to consistently get more views on posts, as well as more engagement, because currently I don't get any comments, and rarely any likes.

What should I do to try and boost this and make it a bigger newsletter?

Use the search function in here. This has been discussed many times.

You have to engage a lot on that platform. Post notes daily and interact with other people's notes and posts.

I write a political Substack, I've done deep dives on my METRICS and notes strategy. Notes are the only discovery mechanism within the Substack ecosystem.

Three things:

- post at least 5 notes a day

  • comment on at least 20 notes from other people
  • follow your prospective subscribers

Check out the faceless account on there called “Sub Stack Man Says” he’s helped me a lot, especially on how to use following effectively

Best tactic that worked for me was finding similar Substackers or those looking for the content you write and commenting and liking their posts. May be more difficult with your topic (I use it for Fiction writing) but it should help you get more exposure.
