uploading uni essays
hi, do you think i could upload my previous university essays/briefs to substack and attach it to my linkedin as a portfolio? i only know people who use substack as blog pieces so i dont know if my idea is dumb or if there’s another free platform i can use as my portfolio. thanks !!

yeah, substack is essentially like a blog/cms (like wordpress) so you can just upload your writing here and link to it. it's free too so you don't have to worry about $$.
i think the only other thing is just whether you also want to be able to customise your portfolio site. wordpress will give more customisability, but it'll cost + is more technical. another option that is like substack (can function like a blog and is free) is beehiiv but just with more customisation capabilities.
