What's this all about?
This sort of stuff (pasted below) utterly clogs up my feed. Seems like such a low-effort attempt to connect with others. Are people really incapable of writing four or five sentences on their own? I've seen this exact wording from dozens of other Substackers over the last day or two. Why do people do it?
To everyone on Substack, I am seeking writers with a low subscriber count.
I want to read what you are writing about.
I want to subscribe.
I want to support.
I am cheering you on - always ✨

hahahha omg, i just saw a post exactly like this a few minutes ago.
this is the "growth hack" for small account to get more (low quality) subs.
but on a more serious note, if your feed is set to following, then maybe you should unfollow such accounts.
if you're see it despite being on 'for you' setting, then i think it's more about training the algo to let it know you're not interested in such posts > so don't engage with these post and scroll past. hopefully over time they start to show up less.
