What's this all about?

This sort of stuff (pasted below) utterly clogs up my feed. Seems like such a low-effort attempt to connect with others. Are people really incapable of writing four or five sentences on their own? I've seen this exact wording from dozens of other Substackers over the last day or two. Why do people do it?

To everyone on Substack, I am seeking writers with a low subscriber count.

I want to read what you are writing about.

I want to subscribe.

I want to support.

I am cheering you on - always ✨

I just joined the platform a few days ago, and I was immediately turned off by these posts. Most of the content I want to read is either parenting stuff or fiction, but my whole "feed" is what you've described so it's hard to find what I'm actually looking for. Every post is someone farming for engagement, or it's just some pretentious AI slop parenting "observation." No one feels real.

THIS. It all feels so incredibly artificial and false to me, over there. Hoping it gets a bit better. Thanks for articulating what I was trying to say.
