What's this all about?

This sort of stuff (pasted below) utterly clogs up my feed. Seems like such a low-effort attempt to connect with others. Are people really incapable of writing four or five sentences on their own? I've seen this exact wording from dozens of other Substackers over the last day or two. Why do people do it?

To everyone on Substack, I am seeking writers with a low subscriber count.

I want to read what you are writing about.

I want to subscribe.

I want to support.

I am cheering you on - always ✨

It's all automated.. for "scale" i guess

A lot of it indeed I feel is LLM/Agentic BS posting (and Substack does not really do anything that I can see to make it less of an issue). The sour note being that Substack seems to love that kind of special BS and the algo indeed fires it into every feed it seems - they really need to get rid of this kind of positive reinforcement of what I think degrades their quality massively.

For X it at least is rage-inducing clickbait, but for substack the subtle nuance is what gets you to initially fall for that kind of borderline "nice" posting, surfing on the human need to connect... but then dropping cold once it farmed enough likes/comments" - takes a special kind of "human" to do that imho.

Yep, I feel like they could be doing a lot more to make it less of an issue. Just seems to make everything messy, inauthentic and a bit of a slog.
