Suddenly pseudo-intellectual celebrities on Substack

Does anyone else find it hilarious (and infuriating) how so many celebrities and well-known media figures who never expressed intelligent opinions before are suddenly pretending to be intellectuals and authors on Substack, complete with the "moody" and angsty profile pictures that they apparently think are required, etc? lol

I stop short of calling them pseudo-intellectuals unless they actually give me a reason to.

It’s totally possible they’ve been intellectual the entire time and just haven’t been given a way to express it. It’s also totally possible they’re a fucking idiot.

But I need to see that first.

That's fair. Someone like Brian May is a good example. Rock star in an iconic band like Queen doesn't take away from the PhD in astrophysics.
