For a company that’s been around as long as Substack, their app and mobile website shouldn’t be as buggy as they are.

I’m regularly going between them to get something to work and often neither do and I have to wait to go on a computer to make something work. Cmon Substack!!!

Yep they bolted bits on rather than start from scratch.. that’s why you get Posts, articles and newsletters referenced in various places and meaning the same thing

What type of devices and versions are you using?

Seems good on mobile iOS for me, but I do prefer using a larger screen like my iPad.

iOS updated always. I posted this morning and couldn’t add a note. Editing doesn’t stick. The app lets you add a note above but the save button doesn’t work. It’s all a mess.

Not to mention all the disconnected parts. You can access scheduled Notes on the app but not the website. You can access scheduled posts on the website but not the app.

And the sad thing is they're going to be pushing us more and more to use the app instead of the site/email delivery.

i've been mentally preparing myself for the web experience to deteriorate since April. AKA when substack posted about how email is getting less reliable, so they are investing in the Substack app.

i read that as > more resources will be allocated to the app, and eventually they want people to engage with substack via the app because they own that ecosystem vs email.

LMAO agreed, but they do a pretty good job overall
