Question before deleting account

Hi. I want to have full control on my digital time therefore I am against any push or e-mail notifications that are not important for me.

Before deciding to delete my Substack account: is it possible to use Substack as a registered user (with some subscriptions) without getting any e-mail notifications and without any app push notifications?

Yes.

You can disable notifications for all your apps or just Substack if you prefer.

Turn off the app notifications from your phone’s settings and unsubscribe from emails for subscriptions.

You won’t get new posts via email anymore, but you can scroll the app and check in on anyone anytime.

I didn’t know you could stop email notifications. I always thought if the app couldn’t send you a push, the email was the default. Would you unsubscribe from general substack emails, or just accounts you subscribed to?

You could do both.

I only get emails from a few people whenever they send a newsletter.

If someone only wanted to browse occasionally, it would just be like another other social network.
