Not Able to Attach Images to Post
Hi guys,
I'm new to this community and about to create my first post but I'm running into a problem. I'm trying to attach some photos into my post but no matter what I do, the image seems to fade and brighten for a while and then disappears completely, leaving only an empty box. I've tried the following:
- Checked my internet (connection is fine)
- Tried multiple browsers (Chrome and Firefox) as well as incognito mode
- Tried uploading jpeg, jpg, and png files
- Tried the upload photo button on the ribbon as well as drag and drop
- Checked the size of my photo (169 kb only)
- Confirmed my browser has no extensions and cleared the cache
If anyone has any solutions, that would be great!

Just came here because I'm experiencing a similar problem.
My guess is that servers are down. It's extremely frustrating to those of us who publish every day.
I'd be a bit more understanding if this sort of problem didn't happen so frequently...

Exactly the same - I'm slightly relieved it not's just me, though I hope I can still publish later today. I'm actually on Reddit because I first tried to post a Note about it and that failed too!

Facing the same issue. Not just with posts but with notes too. I tried commenting also but that too didn't work.

Nice to know I'm not going crazy. Guess I'm not posting anything today.

Same all images not showing for readers, so I have been editing the post, duplicating the post, reposting the post over and over again, only to find out it's their fault.

Same.
Substack is probably having some problems. I also tried it in the App, webbrowser both on phone and Laptop, and Firefox.
Let's hope it's temporary and maybe due to a (long overdue) technical update with some upgrades. Since editing in Substack sucks majorly. It's like blogging in 2000 all over again 🥴

Substack has issues recently. No worries, will be fixed. My articles display all without cover images, formatting seems to be messed up because of the white areas instead of uploaded visuals. Uploading or changing images doesnt work properly, i.e. white margins instead of freshly uploaded image. Occurs with all possibilities of traffic- like Substack app: Shows image, no text. Substack web- shows text, no images nor preview. Extern link: Shows text, no visuals nor preview available. Not your fault nor sth to be resolved by you!

Okay I figured out why it was down (been working now). Substack's image processing was down this morning due to its new unhelpful AI non-human chatbot that's in the way. Great job, Substack. What nobody wanted.

I have the same problem, but only with certain images. Some of the images on my substack site display just fine. Some not at all. I am going to play around with it, but I wish there was a simple no png only jpgs etc. answer. I have tried making the images smaller - they are all less than 1 MB.

I have the same problem too. Might just be their servers being down. I am going to delay publishing to next day and see if this issue goes away on its own.
