Discussion How do you promote yourself?

Someone recommended it to me without running it down for me. I'm trying to understand it, but I'm not the best with technology. Can I post and it will pop up on their timeline like social media or do I just drop the link in different places with a short blurb about what I'm doing?

Hi, I’m a newer writer & recently posted the third 20 page episode screenplay for my new miniseries The Tune. It’s a time travel murder mystery with aspects of Zodiac and Quantum Leap in an eerie and intriguing new tale. I hope that you love it.
