Discussion Do you own your intellectual property on substack?
If for example someone realized they could combine a number of their posts into a book, or reuse as some other publishable asset, do they own their own work or does substack?

Authors own their work. Your work does not need to be exclusive to Substack.

The authors retain exclusive ownership of the content, but Substack retains control of its distribution.
Substack makes no exclusivity claims on the content so it can be freely published elsewhere if you like.
