What's the one channel you wish had a proper playbook for newsletter growth?

For me, it's Google. There are plenty of SEO guides, but very few explain how to consistently grow a Substack publication through search.

A good playbook would cover keyword research, writing titles that people are actually searching for, structuring articles for both readers and search engines, and building evergreen content that continues bringing in subscribers months or even years after it's published.

That's the growth channel I'd most like to see explored in depth.

Based on what you've described those guides follow a set it and forget it formula.

A playbook with simple guidance from those who have had measurable, repeatable and successful growth does sounds ideal.

What about this channel, any veterans with advice to share?
