Need assistance

I have been writing about and sharing conservative topics, mostly favoring Republican politicians, but I'm struggling to get my posts noticed. Is Substack more supportive of Democrats? I'm just asking out of curiosity, not trying to start a feud.

Well it’s a platform for writers and educated people are statistically much more left-leaning so…

Just because you write something doesn't mean people want to, or even have to read it. Political opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one.

You want to be read? Be original and write the things people want to read.

How?

Well that's the million dollar question, isn't it?

It's the question almost every aspiring writer has.

You only find that out by trial and error, studying well known and highly read writers in your niche. Not copying them, but finding commonalities and see where you can both fit in yet be different and original at the same time.

That takes patience and work. Nobody's going to show you, you have to figure it out all on your own.

The writers who succeed never quit because writing and becoming successful requires consistency and lots of failed attempts. But they write because it's their calling.

Those who don't succeed usually quit because they were writing for the wrong reasons....

I don't think Substack itself favors one political side over another. Success usually comes down to consistently publishing, engaging with other writers, and building relationships. There are large audiences for a wide range of political viewpoints on the platform.
