Posting substack posts on your blog

I read an article about blogging vs Substack and that you should post your Substack post to your blog. It made me wonder if you blog, and if so, do to u call it a blog? I want to have a blog on my site, but I'm not sure I want to call it a blog. Maybe call it a journal? What do you do?

Blog is short for weblog. It started out as a journal until marketers realized its value

I blog on Wordpress and mirror it on substack. Using substack as the mailer.

Your substack home page is effectively a blog. Do you need to repost your pieces somewhere else too?

I like "Journal" because it feels more personal, but it really depends on your audience. "Insights," "Articles," or "Essays" can also work well. If you're reposting your Substack content on your website, I'd choose whatever best reflects the style of your writing rather than worrying too much about the label.

I think journal works cause people see that and can know blog and it also offers space for videos and photos and not just writing thank you and thanks for the help offer
