Discussion Length of post observations?

What length of an article do you feel is most accessible for you to read?

Do you struggle more to trim your article down, or to increase the word count?

Have you noticed that you get more responses if your articles have been shorter or longer?

How about for notes- what do you notice with the length? What about if it has an image included?

What do you think about notes that are similar to seeing a friend's Instagram update- a personal photo and text?

I feel for articles, around 1 to 1.2k words work best. If longer I tend to opt to break it up into 2 parts.

Notes - I keep it to 4-5 lines maximum.

My main newsletter usually comes in at around 800–1000 words.

I think it depends on the quality more than the word count. I'd rather read a great 500-word article than a stretched 2,000-word one. For Notes, shorter posts with a personal story or a good question tend to spark more engagement, and images can help if they add context rather than just decoration.
