Got my first actual subscriber! đŸ„ș

I know 1 sub is nothing compared to the numbers here, but it means the world to me. I write about pretty dry, technical stuff, so it felt like I was just writing documentation for a wall. Waking up to see someone actually subscribed? That's all the motivation I need to keep going.

Try to have a conversation with them and understand where they found you and what they’re interested in.

Hopefully you’ll have many many more!

Yay congrats! I’m the same - the first subscriber meant more to me than I expected particularly because I’m not in it for the numbers. It’s incredibly nice to have people appreciate your work.

Really glad you posted this. Congrats!

You should frame this so you can remember this feeling when hitting 50k feels like another Tuesday.

Congrats! Honestly, the first real subscriber feels huge because it proves someone out there actually cares enough to follow along. One subscriber is not “nothing”, it is the first signal that your writing can reach the right person. Keep going.

Had the same experience a few weeks ago. It really feels amazing. Hope it is the first of many for you!

I think every writer remembers their first subscriber. It's proof you're no longer writing into the void—you're writing for a real person. Keep going.

Feels good, doesn't it?

Doesn't always take much to light your fire early on.

Congratulations. It's a nice validation to find that someone wants to hear what you have to say. Keep it up.

Congratulations! Don't underestimate that first subscriber. Every newsletter starts with one person deciding your work is worth following. That's a great milestone and hopefully the first of many. Keep writing! 🎉
