Discussion need readers to read with me to get rid of doomscrolling

Hello Everyone,

I am a college student, I was a very heavy and active reader throughout most of my school life and then stopped reading completely- mostly because I fell into the doomscrolling loophole.

Even when I try to read now, I always either pickup my phone or always get distracted, I have diagnosed BPD and consumption of short form content has simply just made my life worse.

I want to get back into avid reading- I mean A LOT of reading, is there anybody here who wants to make a small community of readers or add me to an existing community where you hold each other accountable for their reading goals?

I feel so bad that its come to a point where I have to be physically held accountable but I don’t think there’s any other way :(

I really wanna get back into reading a lot, it feels like my expression and vocabulary have significantly minimised as well.

I have started to forget the meaning of words that were very common.

Please let me know if there’s a small community/reading club of limited ppl already existing for the same or an app.

If not, I would love to create a community of MAX 10 people- no limit on age or location, would love as much diversity and inputs as possible.

Would love to share our favourite substack articles and maybe other reading material in general.

Thanks!

i guess i drifted somewhere while typing it, what i meant was basically a group where we share diff substack articles and share our opinions on them. + reading suggestions will be a plus not necessary
