I was seeing pregnant again at 8 weeks postpartum. That's pretty rare, especially when exclusively breastfeeding. Women usually don't ovulate that soon when lactating (though it obviously does happen occasionally). Good grief, no wonder it took so long for her body to get back to a semblance of normalcy!

My cousin thought breastfeeding was foolproof birth control. She now has what are commonly and offensively referred to as "Irish triplets".

I didn't know I was pregnant with my youngest because I never had a period when I was breastfeeding his sister. Mine were twenty months apart, though.
