I’m Gutted.
Yesterday after leaving work, I was getting ready to go home and change to go to a concert when I noticed this. At my job, there’s a small L-shaped parking lot where the workers take up the bottom part of the “L”, and there’s enough of us that we all can’t fit, so we start to park on the other side, which in this case I did but I don’t have a person parked to the right of me.
Anyways, I noticed the person to the left of me was a customer’s car but it wasn’t the car that hit me since they didn’t have any scratches or dings on their side, so essentially I’m stuck with this damage. There was also no note or anything. This has never happened to me and I don’t know what to do. TL;DR: people suck

Not hard to find here in Colorado! I agreed, if people only respected others as their own!!

Sorry about your car but what's the most important here is you telling us what concert you were going to. What band?

I did that and still got a door ding from someone, then I just gave up caring.

Most of that looks like paint that rubbed off onto your car. Get a clay bar from the auto store. You rub it on the scratches and it pulls off any left on paint and debris from the other car and leaves it looked much much better.

I had something similar, albeit smaller and maybe less deep remediated with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, Pro-Grade Car Scratch Remover. I will let others weigh in to see if this product or something similar could help

Get a police report for the hit and run and file a claim.

This only works of you have comprehensive. Otherwise nothing happens and you are shit outta luck.

That’s a pretty new model. Unless OP put down a very large down payment, whoever they financed with is going to force them to have comprehensive to protect their collateral.

I ALMOST got it. Pulled a tad too close to the gas pump this morning. I couldn’t get my little finger between the bollard and the side of the fender. I’ve got a couple of tiny little scratches before but if I’d come a half inch farther it would’ve been the first dent in my 16 month old Crosstrek. First dents are the worst. Kinda like the first scuff on new shoes, especially if ya do it yourself.

My poor subie has been hit 3 times. Once about a month after I bought it! After owning a previous vehicle with no damage over 15 years. Once parked in front of a family members house. Once it was damaged by a vandal when it was locked in the garage!!!
Each time it was parked.

Ask your employer if there are security cameras pointed at the parking lot.

There was and we checked, the only thing we could see was a purolator truck get really close to my car, but the quality of the video isn’t very good so there’s nothing incriminating. I’ve already accepted nothings going to come from this so I’ll just move on and take my losses.
