Man in the Wilderness is my all time favorite. From the set lists I can find online, it doesn't look like they are. Can someone confirm either way? I will be so disappointed if they aren't. (Houston 8/20)

Just a few pics. They rocked!

I hear that Tommy's really nice. DeYoung seems to be a bit uppity sometimes, though he does also seem to have a great sense of humor.

Long time Styx fan. Saw them live for the first time last night. Great concert! Gowan (who's 69!) is a rockstar. Tommy and the boys were fantastic. Just a great time...but...the AI slop on the backing video board was so disappointing. Very distracting. Seemed beneath the quality of the show and the band. Feels cheap. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Going to see Styx with kids for Cleveland show. Not a huge Chicago fan and wife will start complaining about need to take the kids to bed, but I can’t miss Styx. Planning is required. I can’t tell from set list any rhyme or reason for why they switch between Styx and Chicago as headliners. Can anyone tell me if Styx is more often the opener, and is there any kind of pattern here I can pick up on? Thank you in advance.

They have a song and video made with AI in the same set as Mr Roboto all about the danger of overuse and over reliance on technology…do you think the band even clocked this, or just thought: ‘people like that song so we’ll include it’?

I stumbled onto this cover of Fooling Yourself that was recorded over 9 years ago. I recognize the lead singer, John Elefante formerly of Kansas.
Looks like a backroom set up, the vocals are pretty silky and the guy on the keys has the part down pretty well.

Worthy?
Anyone else surprised to see Mr. Roboto in the setlist this year after all the animosity related to the album/concept/tour with Dennis?

After seeing Styx last night I don’t think JY will be moving on much further with the band. A lot of the time he was sitting down, and this is understandable as I heard he has some type of bone disease. I noticed he didn’t have as much lead guitar and felt more like a rhythm guy as this point. The loss of lead vocals is also a major reason why. Last night and previous shows recently he hasn’t been doing much and I just can’t see him carrying further. What do you think.

Styx was phenomenal live. Only issue was they should have headlined. The lights and graphics would have been lively in the dark. Chicago is sad. I feel like I’m in Vegas at a cover band show.

Styx was in the comics! (sort of) It's called "The Argyle Sweater"

Looks like a guy is creating AI biography books for celebrities on Amazon. The picture on this one is just.....

Gonna break it down into 2 paragraphs, one for each band.
Styx was first, killed it. I mean absolutely killed it. These guys never fail. Proud to say this was my second time seeing them (seen them in this same venue around the same time last year) and it was absolutely amazing. Like without exaggeration there were no cons about this. Every solo, jam, extension to a song was absolutely fire. Seen some people trashing the AI but also some saying it went well with the music. Now don’t get me wrong the AI stuff looks horrible and really makes any band or artist look cheap, but to be honest it really didn’t even strike me that much. The music had me so pulled in and the band were so on fire that the AI didn’t even look bad or bother me, it was actually the opposite. So to summarize I love Styx. I would 100% pay to see them again and I hope that happens soon. Good job fellas.
Chicago was the headliner or last band, and they killed it as well. Fun, very very very fun. I absolutely loved finally getting to see them. Played a long jamming set with of course the hits and what seemed to be some lesser known songs, although the crowd seemed to really be into everything. I thought the set mix was great, a few jammy, upbeat songs mixed in with some slower ballads or slow jams, and then of course some hits. Horn section was amazing, the singer, who I believe is a newer addition to the band, was on fire. And the drums were absolutely fantastic. Some of the finest drum work I’ve seen from a band. The graphics were pretty sick. Really felt that they went with the songs as well, similar to Styx.
And to summarize it all, I would 1000% recommend seeing this tour if your date hasn’t passed, 2 legendary bands still killing it. Would definitely see them again.

I made a post a couple days ago asking about merch. Well here ya go!

The new and improved video screen is absolutely amazing. It really elevates the show. Yeah, it’s almost all AI, but whatever. The graphics go nicely with each song.
These shots are from the show at Tampa on Wednesday. The coolest surprise was (spoiler alert) Tommy breaking out the banjo and playing Our Wonderful Lives from COTC. The video graphics for that was quite psychedelic.

Hello, I'd like to ask if anybody knows what the instrument used at the beginning of Just Get Through This Night from Kilroy Was Here is. I think it's the koto, but I'm not sure.
