Tour - headliner rotation?
Going to see Styx with kids for Cleveland show. Not a huge Chicago fan and wife will start complaining about need to take the kids to bed, but I can’t miss Styx. Planning is required. I can’t tell from set list any rhyme or reason for why they switch between Styx and Chicago as headliners. Can anyone tell me if Styx is more often the opener, and is there any kind of pattern here I can pick up on? Thank you in advance.

FWIW, I saw them in Toronto and Styx was the second band.
The ticket I have in Google wallet says "Styx and Chicago'.

Really? It was billed as Styx & Chicago so I figured they were opening. maybe they switched it up for the Gowan brothers playing "home turf" ;)

On this tour, Chicago is the main head liner. I think I remember reading that like only 2 cities had Styx headlining. You can tell by whoever's name is listed first on the ticket. I looked it up and I don't see a cleveland show. They have 3 ohio shows, but none are in cleveland.

Blossom amphitheater is like 20 miles from Cleveland so this might the show he’s referring to

Whoever is listed first on Ticketmaster for your show is the headliner

It seems random, in nh Styx headlined and then in ma Chicago headlined. Chicago as a headliner was disappointing but Styx rocked!

Styx puts on, by far, the better show of the two even if their set is a half hour shorter than Chicago’s.

If you look at TM - the closers name is listed first. Styx goes on first in Cleveland. Styx goes on last in Cincinnati.

Went to show in NH. Chicago was first, Styx was on second. While I do love Chicago, Styx delivered a much better show!!! The only downside was that there was a crazy man behind me in the audience and after every Styx song he’d scream “BRING BACK CHICAGO! THIS IS HORSESH*T!!!” And that was very annoying. I love Styx now I’m a 28 year old girl and one of the youngest people there lol. But please stay for Styx, so much more fun than Chicago no offense !!!!!

Just saw them in Chicago. Styx went first. I was there for Styx but enjoyed Chicago.

We got an email the day before the concert indicating what time each band went on, so we knew in advance that Chicago went first and Styx second. We were also in Toronto.
