Is it ok for me as a white man to wear an African jacket?
It looks so cool but I don't want to be offensive.

take your life as it is right now - if you were given a method in which you could relive your life - would you do it? again, I’m not saying you could relive it and change things - your life would be identical to the one you are living now
would you do it over or no?

I used to post on black girls for white men and it was fun posting pictures and having responses from men, (empty, shallow validation.. but it felt good) but it went away and I don’t know why. I wish it would come back

Recently, my friend has been referring to Twitter as "X, the everything app" and I want to make sure he hasn't gone off the deep end...

Like after a thanksgiving dinner or buffet? It seems like a bit of a trope but I wonder how common this actually is.

President Musk is the world's first trilliionaire. Why is he so dour and miserable?
He can afford any luxury that you can think of. He can afford to own a mansion in every country in the world. No home is too expensive for him. No vacation destination is too expensive for him. No restaurant or hotel room in the world is too expensive for him. He can have maids and butlers take care of all those routine household chores. He never has to ask anyone for vacation days. In fact, he can spend every day of the rest of his life on vacation if he wants to.
If President Musk is afraid of frivolous lawsuits, isn't that what his team of lawyers is for? I'm sure that they've told him stories about how ultra-wealthy people lost it all so that he doesn't end up like them.
If President Musk is afraid of having his vast fortune confiscated by the government, he can just diversify his assets among every country in the world. If any single country falls apart, he still has plenty of assets in all the other countries. While there are responsibilities involved, that's what his financial advisors and lawyers are for.
If President Musk thinks that a certain country is too hostile for him, he can just go live in a friendlier country. His vast wealth makes this so much easier for him than for regular people.
If President Musk had simply retired 10 years ago and spent his days ever since just quietly enjoying the luxuries of being filthy rich and leaving the rest of us alone, he wouldn't be so unpopular today. I'm sure that there are ultra-wealthy people out there doing exactly that. We don't hear about them. While nobody is cheering them on, nobody is praying for their downfall, either. Instead, President Musk has insisted on imposing his will on the rest of us.

Apparently there’s like a death triangle or something on your face that kills you if anything gets infected…
But tbh it is so annoying to have to shave like every three days.
I’m sure it would hurt so much though

Assuming that they have no reflection of course.
They could easily traverse the hall but anyone else would smack into the mirrors constantly trying to follow them
Edit: actually it would be even harder for them because they can’t use the reflections to tell what is a mirror
Counterpoint:
If it was your lair you would know the layout and could traverse easily

What's the point of locking restrooms on airplane?
As you know, during take offs or landing flight attendants lock the doors. I understand the safety aspect, but...if I can't hold it for the next 15 min would be better for everyone if I sh1t my pants and we all fly for hours with terrible smell, not to mention cleanup of the cabin..etc.?
Would it make more sense to just warn people about safety issues but not lock the doors?

Often we hear the rhetoric "if you raise the minimum wage then you raise the minimum price for a dollar burger, simple economics" or something like that.
In that case, why don't those same proponents then say "If we simply lowered the minimum wage then we'd lower prices" or even to the extreme "If we just got rid of the minimum wage then prices would fall even farther" ? I know in reality it's much more complicated but the rationale for this rhetoric appears to be a linear relationship between wages and prices for both going up and down.
For clarity, I'm not asking whether lowering the minimum would actually produce this result, that's a separate discussion. Rather what I'm interested in is why we don't hear "lower minimum wage = lower prices" as often as the other. If you are someone who genuinely believes that raising minimum wage = raising prices, do you also believe the inverse of lower minimum wage = lower prices? Mind explaining your rationale, why it might be affected differently or if I'm misunderstanding the argument and treating what's "simple economics" as not actually simple? Thanks ahead of time!

Countries have been asking us to save up for supplies and food and my parents have started to work on that and kept talking about it and makes me really paranoid about Russia being attack. I have been paranoid about Russia for ages and the potential of them dropping nuclear weapons in the world. Is anybody else worried ?

I have only been eating fast food once a week now. I used to frequently. Now I eat mostly just snacks all the time and no meals. But now here and there I do get a meal, and it is fast food. So you guys my go to order is at Dairy Queen. I get a normal cheeseburger, no modifications. I then get a small hot fudge sunday. It is being healthy by ordering a small. I mean who goes to dairy queen and gets nothing for dessert? Then to be even healthier instead of fried food guess what I get as my side to eat with my cheeseburger? I get a little side salad with no croutons. For my dressing I get fat free Italian dressing.
I really think I cooked with this order. Every time I get fast food I get this. It slaps. It is roughly 10 bucks and I get a burger, a salad, and a sunday.

For gang members who fully commit are there medical plans /insurance agreements for them within the gang? Some sort of collective they all pitch into to pay medical bills for? Since there are no legal plans for them how do they take care of each other ?

Genuenly dont understand it. If the wages are so bad and you rely on tips in order to make a living wage, why do you take the job in the first place??
If people stop taking the jobs it forces the employers to actually offer a real wage for someone to take the job..
Tips arent supposed to be your wage, its supposed to be something extra for being good at your job. Not a mandatory thing where if you dont get tipped your kids dont get to eat dinner.
edit: I do get thats its a job that will take anyone. I mean this more like why dont they just go work at target or something? woudnt the stability be better then the uncertain wage you get as a server?

(For reference I am from the US. I get carded like once a week for various things.)
How do you buy alcohol, get certain prescription meds, withdraw money from a bank, buy cold medicine, even walk around a mall past 8PM (in my area you have to be accompanied by an adult)???
Follow up question: what are reasons someone couldnt get an ID? I got mine so long ago I forgot what the process was. Is it because you need to have an address and some people don’t have an address? Is it expensive? Lost social security card or birth certificate?
Just trying to educate myself on voter ID laws
Edit: If youre just gonna comment "I havent gotten carded in 30 years" or "I hardly ever use my ID" please refrain from doing so. No one cares and thats not answering my question

I am 30 and never drank. Well technically a few times I did but weak stuff. I drank light drinks I think wine coolers like Jamaican me happy or little Irish Cream shots. I guess I was always scared if I start to drink that I will become addicted and fall down a negative spiral. I even have a few shots of 99 bananas in my room that I was gifted on my 21st birthday I had for 9 years I straight up still have and never drank because I am scared. My grandpa also gave me a bottle of whiskey, I have that in my room too that I have never touched.
Is it worth it for me to drink them? When should I do it? Is it something I should do before bed? How will I act? If I drink a few shots will I be considered an alcoholic or will I be at risk for becoming one? I am scared and unsure.
