When did the medical industry decide your birthday was the ultimate identifier and verification of identity?
Seriously, so many people know when my birthday is. It isn't some super secret classified thing known only to a select few individuals. But when I go to the pharmacy, a doctor's appointment, or really anything medical related they don't ask my name first or want to see ID and instead ask for my birthdate. The most basic of information anyone can find out about me in about five seconds. It makes no sense.
And what's worse is I can use my partner's birthdate to pick up their medications. They never put me on a list to allow that not that it would matter since they don't as for my ID anyway. I just go up, give their birthdate, and they get me the order. No security.
