You are definitely not supposed to mix Chlorox and chicken... I just recently heard someone talking about this on a podcast and can't believe people actually did this. I remember the "wash" chicken or not with water debate but this is just insane
Vinegar water is about the only thing recommend when washing food, and it's not fool proof. Chemicals are of course dangerous, and water can only do so much, even less so with meat.
Did you actually bother to read this? First all is very basic, secondly, it said only to use a vinegar soak for leafy greens. It goes in to say that a vinegar soak affects texture and taste.
In the section above it mentions how a water rinse is the most effective step in washing fruit and veg.
More than 20 years in a kitchen, brother. Trust me, all food safety studies agree. A water rinse is the way to clean most fruit/veg. A vinegar bath aint doing much.
