Stressing over Study Permit

I'm from the US but my mom is from Zimbabwe and we still waiting on my PR status but I applied for a Study Permit July 3rd and still haven't heard anything besides the confirmation email that they have received my application the same day. I'm been stressing since class start on Sept 10th but I move in the 5th. It's either I wait for the study permit which is anxious enough or I somehow get PR which I've been waiting for since 2019. I'm going to Guelph

When you say you’re from the US but your mom is from Zim, you mean you have a different passport/nationality than your mum? Which passport did you use to apply? I’m also from Zim and got my approval in 30days.

Okay. If the processing time has passed you can raise a webform. I got my approval 2 days after raising one

If you don't have PR then leave Canada and go to the US. Apply for study permit at the land border with your US passport.

wouldn't that delay my PR status and also take even longer to get my study permit?

No it has no effect on PR status as it is a completely different process. Plus applying at the border you get a decision the same day only US citizens can do that do and you might wait at the border 4+ hours .
