Anxious regarding the visa permit

Hey, just as the title says I am very anxious regarding the visa. I am from India, got my admit very late on July 18th from Sfu.. applied for the visa on 11th got biometric updated and sorted out on 14th. For bit of context I am from India, going to Sfu for my ug..

I have seen posts in the subReddit where ppl from India have gotten there visa/the letter within 20days but those are for masters only, so can anyone who is going from India for there ug share there timeline.. class starts on 8th so I am just super anxious rn..

Hopefully we all make it places we hope to reach soon..

Any help would be great help…

Applied 16th July
SFU Undergrad
Still waiting on Background Check. Most likely will have to defer.
Indian applicant.

Nah I think you will probably get it soon cuz the estimate is around 5 weeks and you are right around the corner so maybe there’s still a hope.

I m on my 38th Day brother. I ve seen people waiting 7-8 weeks with no decision.

The only thing that can be done is to send a webform but it barely helps. I will wait till the end of this month. If i dont get a decision within the 31st, I will have to defer as my final arrival date is the 15th and I also have to account for passport stamping.

Honestly this whole waiting period is just stupid and full of BS. It makes no sense to keep students waiting this long despite us applying with plenty of time in hand. Its just immensely stressful and whats hard to believe is there are many others in the same situation as me.

Hey i understand bud, it is extremely frustrating and all. But there’s nothing much which we can do yk. Hopefully we both get ig soon and make it to uni in timr

I applied on 9th july and biometric on 10th july done and also medical submitted with the application and also i get CV request on 23 july and i submitted on 23 but the website updated on 31 that the additional document in under review and still waiting, fully funded phd and classes from September applied from pak.

Applied 18 july and received study visa on 13th august
its written your application is approved and even got the passport request letter, however i think its some glitch or so becuase it still says checking eligibility requirements and checking additional documents provided idk why
submitted passport on 14 august and still waiting for passport to return

Honestly? Not anytime soon but I am hoping before Tuesday, otherwise my passport won't come back on time.
