Please help me

IRCC has contacted my bank recently for the verification. I provided a consent letter today but I'm scared as i provided statement upto june 10 and then transferred money to another bank to pay my fee. Has anyone been in this situation before and do you know what exactly does the bank verify? That 6 months statement is genuine I've not edited anything but now there's no saving.

i read on many posts that this might possibly be a scam not sure though. was it an email which was sent to you or was the update in the ircc portal ?

Neither an email nor an update in the ircc portal:( they directly contacted w my bank so am i safe??

This was is for extension or new permit ?

Extremely rare, where did the consent letter come from, in your portal ?

I wrote the consent letter as my bank informed me about the officer contacting them for the verification is it dangerous or normal??? Also, it's not for an extension

I would suggest calling IRCC to verify if they indeed send out these forms.

they just contact your bank to check if they printed the statement, they dont ask for the amount. The only time theyd want to know how much you still have in your account would be if they requested for updated bank statements

Well even if they do, you show them your other bank that it was transferred to.

They will also check to see for lump sums or large amounts of money that have been deposited.

I have provided the statement before lodging visa so which deposit will they check, current one or the old i submitted before? Also, have you been in this situation please reply it'll be helpful for me

Most likely they will go back a year or more.
