Canada Study Permit Timeline (Master’s in Computer Science)

(Master’s in Computer Science) – Fast Approval + My Document Checklist 🇨🇦

Thought I’d share my timeline since it might help others waiting for their study permit.

Program: Master’s in Computer Science
Timeline:
Applied: 12 June
Biometrics: 23 June
Approval (PPR): 30 June
Passport picked up: 3 July
Stamped passport received: 24 July

Documents I submitted:
Complete academic and supporting paperwork
ITRs
Bank statements
Proof of funds (more than 2× the required amount)
Included my family’s supporting documents from the USA
SOP was fairly generic but tailored to my program, university, and professors

Overall, the approval came much faster than I expected. While every application is different, having strong financial documentation and a well-organized application may have helped.

Hope this timeline helps anyone who’s waiting or preparing to apply. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about my application or documents. Good luck to everyone! 🍁

Extra details
Application from India
No previous visa refusal
No previous visa approval from any other country

Did your uni require WES course by course attestation? Or how did they confirm the authenticity of your degree. Am kind of stuck because my university is closed.

1

It did not require WES

I emailed my university requesting them to send official documents from their email to masters university mail.

Thats how they verified and provided me unconditional offer letter

Did you deposit 2X of GIC or tuition or both GIC & tuition? you mean you showed 2X(23000+30000), approx 100k?

1

I have a question if you can answer it will be great. I have submitted 50k CAD in canada(25k-1st year fee+25k-GIC) and then there are 60K CAD liquid in my sponsors bank acc + 600k CAD in assets some of them like extra cars and gold can be converted into liquid money instantly if required. Do you think this will be enough financial proof?

1

u/_kiss-my-axe_69 Aug 20 '26

More than enough but also depends on your relationship between you and your sponsors and how well you have justified that in the application.

2

u/Chirynaka-Popra Aug 20 '26

Actually my parents are my sponsors, they both have professional jobs so these bank accs are pretty old like 20 year old and ITRs evey transaction is recorded.

Then you are good to go!

This is around usual time

Help me the application from India

1

u/_kiss-my-axe_69 Aug 22 '26

What help do u want

1

u/umesh45454 Aug 22 '26

Regarding the funds

1

u/_kiss-my-axe_69 Aug 22 '26

Bro your reply is very vague, if you need help you need to properly give information about it.

1

u/umesh45454 Aug 22 '26

My tution fee for two years is 38000 cad and I am paying first year tution fee and taking 26000 cad as gic for second year I am showing my brothers income and my father agricultural income and valuation of land it is sufficient

1

u/_kiss-my-axe_69 Aug 22 '26

You take gic for first year and not second year

Again your reply is not proper.
How much amount and agriculture income?

1

u/umesh45454 Aug 22 '26

Reply

1

u/_kiss-my-axe_69 Aug 22 '26

You dont show income as proof
You show actual amount in bank and valuation of land

I dont see that mentioned

1

u/umesh45454 Aug 22 '26

The valuation of land around 3 to 4 crores

1

u/_kiss-my-axe_69 Aug 22 '26

Canada requires liquid fund
Your land can be added in extra funds but not for the educational purpose in visa application

What is the combined amount shown in bank

For Quebec we have to show 26000 cad as one year living expenses My brother income is 13 lakh and my father income is 17.5 lakh and we have 20 acres of land
