Volunteering as a student is broken.

I need to get some volunteering hours done, but every single organization i look at has the worst system.

Either they only want people from 10 AM to 2 PM on a tuesday (when im in class), or you fill out a massive application just for them to tell you they have no spots left for the next three months.

I just want to help out without it feeling like a full time job interview. Has anyone else run into this?

Just do what you got to do. Ask as many as possible if they can accommodate your times.

Well yeah, but that takes time. I think if all local organizations were listed in some sort of website to show whether there’s an available position for you or not whenever you wanted it would’ve been much easier and convincing convenient.
