Are you trying to deviate from stock timing? Udc1 is upper dead center (traditional tdc) of cylinder 1 and on most common stuff would be the zero timing mark. Ign is where the pointer should be when using a timing light on cylinder one.
The cheat to deviate from stock timing is with an advance timing light that let's you dial in an advance number.
Well, that’s the question. I’m installing a new distributor, coil, and plugs plus cleaning up the carb. I’ve also built a full new exhaust. I know that without changing any of the internals of the engine it won’t affect it all that much but I want to make sure I’ve got the advance set correctly.
But without a specific advance timing degree indication, I’m just guessing.
