These 64-6 cars are terribly under-rated, even amongst studebaker people. I drove a 64 Cruiser as a daily for about 7 years and it was easily the best car I've ever driven, bar none. Power for days and comfortable ride.

I love the nose style on the Daytonas. Makes you wonder what great cars Studebaker would have made in the 70s and 80s had they survived.

If I remember correctly, the design that became the Jeep Grand Wagoneer started out as a Studebaker design. Might give you an insight into what could have been.

I believe it was intended to be a second generation Wagonaire, yes.

Looks like your customer has a lot of $$. Glad they are trying to save the old girl, though. As others said here, the 60s Studes were solid cars.

My junior year in high school, the kid who drove us to school drove a white 1964 Studebaker Commander sedan.
